How ScratchPad Came to Life

Like many of us, Ryan found himself drowning in distractions during the remote-work boom. Between kids popping in, a dog demanding attention, and the endless pull of home life, “work from home” quickly turned into “work from chaos.”

He tried coworking spaces, but something was always missing. They felt too stiff, too sterile, too far from the comforts of home. That’s when Ryan and his wife, Jaime, had an idea: what if there was a coworking space that combined the best of both worlds?

A cozy, welcoming place where people could focus, but also connect. A space that felt affordable and approachable, not intimidating. A place that felt like belonging.

And so, in the spring of 2025, ScratchPad was born.

Meet Ryan & Jaime

ScratchPad is run by husband-and-wife team Ryan and Jaime Cochrane, who know first-hand what it’s like to juggle work, family, and the dream of building something bigger.

With years of varied work experience between them, their goal was never just to open another coworking space. They wanted to create a place where people look forward to getting out of the house each day: a place to focus, network, and grow, but also to feel at home.

Their philosophy is simple: when you feel like you belong, you do your best work.

More Than Just a Desk

At ScratchPad, we believe coworking should be about more than WiFi and coffee (though we’ve got plenty of both). It’s about connection, collaboration, and creating momentum for people doing brave, meaningful work.

Here, you’ll find:

  • Structure without rigidity: Focus when you need it, freedom when you don’t.

  • Community without cliques: Meet people who get it without the awkward networking vibe.

  • Comfort without chaos: A space that feels as cozy as home but designed for productivity.

ScratchPad is more than just a desk—it’s a springboard for whatever you’re building next
